Who says Tuscany, also thinks of a land of rich culinary tradition. In our restaurant with panoramic terrace, furnished to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the Tuscan style, in line with the style of the entire facility, you will enjoy a fusion of flavours, aromas, colours created by a cuisine that combines inspiration and ability.
It will offer you, from the breakfast buffet, the colours and smells that this wonderful area has to offer, from traditional Tuscan ham to Tuscan salami, pecorino cheese coming from the surrounding farms, the finocchiona .... But also yogurt, jams, honey, homemade croissants, fresh fruit, breads always fresh and the typical caprese: tomato, mozzarella and basil, topped with delicious typical Tuscan olive oil.
Il Defizio offers you, along with the classics of our cuisine, like bruschettas, soups, steak Florentine and the update of typical local dishes, also excellent light lunches (light lunch) that you can enjoy at the pool during the months of June, July and August in a beautiful sunny day of relaxation.
Finally our dinners that from May to late September for two times a week (Monday and Thursday) will give you the flavours of the typical dishes of Tuscan tradition.
Andrea, Grazia and Antonio will prepare appetizers, main dishes, including tasty lasagnas and other delicious sauces made with fresh products typical of the period, and meat second courses such as roast lamb, pork tenderloin, roast beef and other meats like chicken and rabbit, accompanied by a nice Chianti, to end with desserts including our tiramisu and the drinks of our Wine Bar.
In Italy, cooking is an art for everyone, your budget does not count, eating is nourishment and celebration, and in no way is it more evident than in the style of this wonderful cook, who will introduce you to the delights of the palate in the Tuscan style taking for you (and with you) an interesting and engaging cooking lesson, then, what greater satisfaction than eating what you prepared!!!
Discover the secrets of Italian cuisine prepared in the region of origin. Create delicious Tuscan appetizers like onion jam or cream of porcini mushrooms, learn why you should never, just never use the wine for the risotto, discover the secret of the world's lightest tiramisu and other irresistible desserts. Learn the secrets of these traditional dishes and then .. enjoy all the delights that you have prepared. A full day lesson
If half a day is not enough, start your day in the kitchen with Giuseppina choosing the ingredients at the local market. We will meet for a cappuccino and a croissant at the bar of Certaldo, then we will go to the market to see what are the most fresh products that the season offers. With all the ingredients selected we will prepare a four course dinner, hors d'oeuvres, first course, main course and dessert before enjoying the results of the hard work.
